Description
This red grape, native from Gironde had a wide international diffusion, settling down in Friuli Venezia Giulia and specially in the Oriental Hills - where it found its preferred territory. It has been mentioned since the 18th Century but it has been described only from mid 19th Century.
It gives birth to fresh, succulent and fragrant wines with a good maturation taming its edginess. The result is a sapid, smooth and round wine.

Organoleptic description
Ruby red. Clear scents of blackberries and raspberries along with chocolate. At the taste it shows a pleasant richness of flavor and velvety feel making it round, slight aromatic recalls ensures a compelling personality.
