SIRCH Estate starts from tradition

In SIRCH’s view, tradition is everything. This means working every day in order to:

  • Adapt to the natural conditions that have been forged by Millenia in this particular area of Friuli Venezia Giulia;
  • Treat the land and vines with all due respect;
  • Reduce the use of chemical products thus improving the care for the environment and all the different steps of the process;
  • Value the human factor as the technical expertise gained on site are combined with commitment and the essential passion por this kind of work.

The historical evolution

The Estate was founded in the mid-50’s when the winemaking process was very different from the one implemented today, however back then, the territory offered already particular grapes with a high-quality level

In 1970, the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC was established, identifying the area, the production and its specifications. Thus, SIRCH found itself then totally inserted in an area of great value appellation promoting the specific qualities of the territory.

The new millennium brought the renovation of the cellar as well the investment in new plots, with consequent increase of the yield and bottles produced.

Today’s reality

Nowadays, the Estate includes 100 hectares among three different places of the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC:

  • Cividale del Friuli;
  • Premariacco / Orsaria;
  • Prepotto / Cladrecis.

Today, SIRCH exports in several European countries and one of its brands is sold in the United States by Terlato Wines, a primary reality of worldwide distribution that has chosen this Friuli Estate for its own label: Terlato Vineyards.

SIRCH never stands still, there are always challenges to be faced, great novelties to come: the future is being built. Following SIRCH’s family tradition.
