Ribolla by SIRCH

The first written evidence about Ribolla dates to the 12th Century, however we find some record of this prestigious wine during the Ancient Roman Empire already; between the 14th and 17th Centuries Ribolla was considered a great value present for Princes and Kings and a obliged supply for the allegiance acts among cities.

Ribolla accompanies men through the centuries until the beginning of the ‘60’s of the last Century, when it reached its full enhancement in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Since the first regulations (1970) of Friuli Colli Orientali DOC - to which SIRCH is committed - Ribolla Gialla has been allowed as a monovarietal vinification, and today it is still so.

The Ribolla Gialla by SIRCH, made from native vines has two versions: still and sparkling, both fully expressing the floral essence of its hills. They are appreciated in their completion, not necessarily having an excessive alcohol content.

The most ancient wine evidence in Friuli, is interpreted by SIRCH in a classic-modern style: vinified off-the-skins to enhance its origin, freshness and salinity.
