The company

Sirch project started only in 2002, but the Sirch family had produced wine for over three generations. Sirch wines express the terroir with no artifice: wines clean and simple at a first taste, but aiming at subtle complexity rich in nuances. Sirch wants to bring back the traditional style of the Friuli wines, respecting the territory and focusing almost exclusively on the work in the vineyards.

Territory

The winery is located in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC, in Cividale del Friuli - Unesco World Heritage since 2011 - one of the freshest areas of this famous terroir, particularly vocated for white wines.

Vineyards

Nature made its magic in this Friuli area, creating marl hills where vineyards enjoy incredible microclimates, results of the interaction between the Adriatic sea and the fresh eastern winds. Vineyards - approximately 30 ha, of different age - are located in different areas and are cultivated with guyot or classical “doppio capovolto”.

Cladrecis

Cladrecis is an old town, at 244 meters altitude, in the Prepotto city (UD). A magical place, with unique terroir marks, where Sirch decided to produce great white and red wines. Vineyards are enclosed by centuries-old woods and create wonderful silent landscapes.

Permanence on the fine lees for a period of 4 and 6 months, whit frequent battonage.

Organoleptic examination

Pale straw yellow colour with faint greenish reflections. Dry taste, in the mouth elegantly citrine, of excellent drink.
Fine perfumes, minerals and white flowers. Wisteria, linden and citrus are the distinctive features to recognize it.
In the mouth, it is mineral and fruity. Hints of pulpy fruit, crunchy, never too round or with a marked alcoholic note.

Organoleptic examination

Straw yellow color. Fresh and elegantwine, it is recognized by the fine floral aromas of wisteria, linden and citrus fruits. Balsamic traces are perceived, with hints of aromatic herbs. In the mouth mineral, pulpy, crunchy, never too round or with a marked alcoholic note.
